working with photoshop elements

Give me some paper and ink - and I can easily come up with a myriad of different designs. Give me an expensive computer program and I never find time to see what it can do. I have had photoshop elements for quite some time - and a stack of books to help me figure it out. There never seems time.....today I thought I would just hit a bunch of buttons to give me a start place. Here is my new blog photo - just touched with one button in the program. Now my mind see countless scrapbooking possibilities with some of these options (then some are just way wierd!)

The one to the right is a Card Candy pouch - can't really see it, but it is all sparkle and glitz!

Here are some more shots of the cupcakes. I used the Stampin' Up! giftwrap to decorate the cake plates and the Just Football set in area school colors to make the sticks. Very easy - and festive!

Golf and Way discounted Retired Sets!

Tonight is Karisa's last golf match - a nice autumn day - of over 90 degrees......

I have enjoyed this season much more than the other sports she has done - partly because she enjoys it and partly because golf as a game has better etiquette - so there are no nasty parents, no jeering softball cheers, no yelling coaches, no coaching parents, no suspect calls by umpires, just the game......

I have made some little chipboard scrapbooks for the girls to remember the season by.

On Saturday - I did my first round of test cupcakes for a couple of stamping projects..... my family (and friends) are going to be taste testing for me. I need one batch that will photograph well for a project - frosting queen I am not. The other batch (or batches) are ones need easy prep, taste as good on day 2 AND be totally yummy!

Chipboard is fantastic when doing 3-D projects. Here are several that we did - I can not claim the original design on any of them - they are all heavily inspired by things I saw in Denver and Louisville at Stampin' Up! events.

Too Much Fun!

Last night we had a great get together. There are close to 150 ladies in my Stampin' group - and a few times a year I have a gathering with the ones who have placed in the top of the group the previous quarter. Our theme was Hawaii (where the next Stampin' Up! incentive trip is heading). The room oozes with inspiration, chatter and laughter. Throw in some stamping, trading and food - and it is pretty close to perfection! Here are a few snippets from the night.

This last picture is from convention in Denver. It's another group of fun ladies - working at a Stampin' Up! event is just that {work} but very rewarding!

Fall Fun

Finally, the feel of fall is in the air! I am off this morning to spend some time stamping with some of my fabulous demonstrator friends.

Before I leave - here are two quick projects - the first is what I did for my trades in Louisville. I think it is fun when you give a card that looks great from the inside too!

The second is one of our camp cards we did last Saturday.

Back from Louisville!

We had a fabulous time in Louisville, I was so incredibly tired on Thursday and felt like I just didn't want to go, but am very glad I did. We got lots of great ideas and had a blast together.

That night several from our group went out to dinner together - and I know I say it a lot, but it is because it is true - they are just great ladies!

World Card Making Day
