A new feature!

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you can see a slideshow of all past pictures and samples from the blog. I hope to add more samples there, so they don't take up all the space up here! Let me know if you like it, just click comment below this post to tell me if it works for you!

Next Garage sale and other sales!

The next garage sale for all of the used/retired items you have brought, will be Saturday June 9th. Mark it on your calendar!

Visit the Specials link on my SU! site for information on the
Easy 2 B Hostess 4 a Day! special good thru
Tuesday May 29th as well as the Do What I Do!
special!

Photo Art

Here is a fun project I recently did. You really can't go wrong when you start with two fabulous looking teenagers! The frame is a 3d one that I got on clearance at Target. I had it for a while and just 'knew' I would find a use for it. The ribbon rose is several links of Stampin' Up! ribbons that I simply looped and stitched the ends all together. If you have scrapbooked with me, you know I truly love working with black and white photos, they add an elegance to whatever you put them with.

Sundae Buffet!

I have been away for longer than intended, an uncle died and the funeral put everything I intended to get done back a day or two. I am in the process of catching up and hope to be totally so by tomorrow!! I have lots of emails to answer, so if you are waiting, it should be soon!!

The garage sale was a great success - those of you who brought things over will get a report soon. The next one is June 9th, so mark your calendars. You can bring stamps over (you must fill out and inventory sheet and read all the necessary information) or shop! {or both!}

To my demonstrators who have access to the demonstrator blog.... I will be posting some additional samples there this afternoon, so make sure to log in and check those out!

Today is the Sundae card class - you can see the 8 cards we will be making above. I don't know if I am more excited about the sundae inspired cards OR the actual sundae buffet we will be doing. Yum!! The Au Chocolat papers coordinate so nicely with many other papers, they were fun to use!

I have some additional June and July events, those will be found on my calendar when I get it updated. We will be using the chipboard and making it incredibly simple to do. The name frame showcases the chipboard and was made for me by Tami W.

Oldies, but goodies!

Here are some fun samples - all over the place, but maybe you can find inspiration with them!

The popsicle card was one of my all time favorite summer cards - I am sure we will need to do a variation of it at the upcoming retirement gala camp. The colors are so bright and with the crystal effects, they really do look good enough to eat.

The cherish card was another workshop favorite. We sanded the buttons and then added dots with the white gel pen. Sticky strip and microbeads cover the word CHERISH. Enjoy!

One that got away!

Each year when the retired list comes out, there is invariably a set or two that has been on my wish list for months and never made it onto an order.

This year that set is Sew Seasonal. I didn't really care for it when I first saw it, but then seeing some of the OH SEW very cute things my stamping friends did with it, decided I did truly 'need'
it.

I (of course!) didn't make any of the samples, but wanted to share them with you, in case you may truly 'need' the set as well.

I am back!

Taking a big sigh of relief that another demonstrator Training day is in the history books! I hope to get some retiring sets pictures posted later on today.....for now I will share this picture that I literally took 10 minutes ago.

The weather has been so beautiful - perfect actually, the last 3 days. I was out sitting on the porch chatting on the phone and noticed that our mama bird had gone to get some time for herself. The babies were left alone - the nest is in a very small shrub right outside our back door. You can stick your head in the bush to get a good look, so I snuck in my camera and got this great shot!!
God is phenomenal - as witnessed by His marvelous creation.

A Natural Runner Up!

Today's featured retiring set is All Natural. It isn't one of the Top Five Faves, but is close!! I have a busy day and these pictures had already been snapped, so it became today's entry.

This is one set that is great for scads of projects - even when they are masculine in design.
The vellum flower was one of my most fun workshop projects. Stamp the blue onto shimmer cardstock, emboss the flower onto vellum cardstock and attach with a brad. Simple and truly elegant. Would even work for a wedding, just used the bride's chosen colors!

Mixed Bouquet

I LOVE this set, I realized I had many more samples from Petal Prints (even found some more for another picture), but it is because I have used so many of the cards I made with MB to give on card giving occasions....thus the stash is small. My favorite card is the NQN with the twill. The twill was new at the time and I just loved the belted accent we wrapped around the card.

Chickens are outta Cluck!

Saying so long to my next favorite set on the List - Best of Cluck, looks like the chickens are out of time.....

They are fun and so many uses for them. I have a recipe card I am doing this week for Pavlova (one of our favorite Aussie desserts - actually for Ris's birthday we often do a Pav - which takes about 8 egg whites and then 2 Peanut Butter Pies - which takes about 8 egg yolks - the perfect match for her Aussie/American citizenship combo! Now, back to stamps...) The chickens are PERFECT if you have a stamped recipe book, like me and all my stamping buddies do.

This past week we were planning another book - the criteria being a oh so yummy girl food AND have a stamp that can match! Priorities you know!
Today is the Last day to take advantage of my "Love the New, Love the Old sale!" Details are in Friday's posting.

What else retires?

Not only do all the stamps listed on the retired list disappear when the new catalog comes out, but there are other things that will be gone as well. IN Colors for one - and anything that has In colors 'in' it (papers, etc). The hostess sets will also be gone, so host now and get them while you can!!

My workshop hostesses for June can pick a set JUST for booking! Today's samples all use current hostess sets. If you need one {or more!}, book your workshop today and we can easily remedy that situation!
Don't forget - camp special this weekend - purchase Big Blooms, Doodle This or Office Accoutrements and take your pick of any one retiring set for 40%! Orders due in by Sunday pm.

Going Out in Style!

This time of year is so....... well, this time of year!

Stamps hit the retiring list (this year with a BIG gusto!), school is winding down (which means there are even more activities than usual!), I have ONE weekday til Memorial Day that doesn't have something scheduled on it.... You look back over the 'year' that was (can she be getting ready for 8th grade???? is it time for a new catalog? - my 13th with Stampin' Up!).

Sometimes you get a stamp set and it just clicks with you, you know the first time you use it - you love it. That is the case for today's featured set - other times, it grows on you (everytime I use the Spring mini set Big Blooms I wonder how I have ever stamped without it ~ but it was a complete impulse order)

With the retiring list - I will be posting lots of samples from sets that are soon to be gone. There will be specials galore (make sure to check my SU! website and get on my email list!) and classes to match. The first special will be for camp this Friday (a love the new, love the old sale!) details will be in the email news.

As I post these over the next few weeks - {keep in mind} I did not stamp them all, many, yes, but not all!! Some are orginal creations, some I got from swaps and others I may have tweaked to become my own. Some I made so long ago I don't even know how I did it!!

Today's is one of my Top Five sets that are going - Petal Prints - it is beautiful no matter what you do. Enjoy!
