Punch Rack assembly has begun! For those of you who have asked....

Some of you have contacted me thru the comments on this site, but it doesn't give me a way to get back to you. You can email me at cherist at g mail . com

They will be painted white, which you can leave as is or paint a new color to match your own area. The cost is $40 - paypal or check is fine.

Hopefully they will begin being finished up early next week! We need to do one more run to the lumber store, so if you want one, email before tomorrow!

More Spooky Spiders!

I wanted to share this fun way to use the spooky spiders that you can order for a limited time from Stampin' Up! (see the post below for the flyer).

My friend Tami has applied them to her door - and says the neighborhood kids think it's pretty cool - well, of course they do - so do I! Easy, peasy decorating and I know more than one of us who agrees, spiders are spooky!

It 'should' have been easy.....

Last week at camp we made this lovely card, designed by my friend Susan. Yesterday I sat down to begin working on my swaps for the amazing ladies that I swap with. Easy and a job {when time isn't an issue} that I thoroughly enjoy.

One of the Holiday Mini sets that I pre-ordered was Season of Friendship. When making this Upsy Daisy card I thought of the tree - and that it would be a nice silhouette image to add to a background like this.

I didn't want to use fall colors as I already have several ideas that can use the leaves that come in the set - so I thought a winter theme using the snowflakes would be easy. This did present an issue as I would need to keep the snowflakes white on my blue winter background. I tried several different techniques - and spent most of the afternoon - by the end, I wasn't overly thrilled with the card (but it does look better this morning)

Covered in blue ink and a stackful of images that were not quite right......

I finally ended up with a card that I liked. I skipped the embossing and used white stazon and softened the blue choices of ink. Cutting the bird out helped to 'pop' him out. Glossy cardstock smoothed out the background.
Just thought I would share the process - so those of you who think I just whip these things out of my head could see that sometimes it doesn't work quite that way!

busy week....

Golf season is nearly over - at least for the JV girls....three matches this week.

Last night I wore sandals to the match - last bastion of summer.....

Tonight's match??

socks!!!

I do love fall, Indy Irish Festival this weekend, our favorite of the year!

Serg agreed to make a "few" punch racks for the many of you that have asked.......

$40

Let me know if you want one - soon, before the list of a "few" fills up!

Upsy Daisy Technique Class in next Monday.... I have completed three of the projects. Love this stamp set!

And, yes, Ike made it's way thru Indiana on Sunday - taking out our {yucky} huge Bradford Pear Tree. I hate Bradford Pears and we had toyed around getting rid of it for the last several years. It had gotten to be HUGE tree on a teeny tiny little trunk and with every storm I thought it would be the end of it. Ike saw to that. Now I get to think about what kind of {nice} tree to replace it with. Suggestions anyone?!

Camp is tonight and I am prepping that - along with the Recipe Box class. Both are available "To Go" - so if you are busy tonight or live too far to come to my class - ask about the To Go options!

Autumn is falling!

I love fall - the cooler weather (wasn't yesterday glorious?), the colors, the crispness of it all. My favorite SU! family is of course Earth Elements. I said goodbye to the red, white and blues and pulled out the autumn decorations this week. Here are some things I have stamped that are incorporated to my home - nothing new, so if you have been here in the fall months, you have seen it! In fact, the two framed pieces are several years old.

Golf season is winding down - just a few matches left. Senior night was last night - the girls saluted the lone senior this year with a tummy painted greeting as she tee'd off. Silly girls!

After golfing 9 holes and getting a 50 - Ris rode home in depressed silence..... but, when we got here I had gotten a package from Fed Ex that included dry ice. Amazing how some ice induced fog can totally transform your attitude!

I need to finish up camp projects and the recipe to go kits today - before heading out to another match this evening.
