Retiring Sets

Enjoy the samples

It's almost Thanksgiving!

Here are some fun table decorations using the big shot die. Love the fun things you can do with the rosette!

Ornament Punch

I never got the coordinating stamp set - but this punch works wonderfully well on it's own. Brayering the bridal papers is a great way to get any color of paper that you like!

Quick, Cute and Easy

Here's a card we did at Stamp a Stack - totally inspired by one of the Stampin Up Regional projects. Celery and Red are actually quite a stunning Christmas color combo!

November Camp

If you missed it - here is some of what we did! Join us in December to do some cool new projects!

Autumn Trees

This was a card we did at Extra*Ordinary cards earlier this month. It was inspired by something I saw online. Gotta love stampin' spots - they are so versatile.

Thanks Theresa!

Isn't that the sweetest thing?? After a long week of work and getting home later than normal on Friday this was waiting for me in my mailbox. I love my stampin' friends......

My birthday is this weekend and I have a HUGE special going on for anyone interested in becoming a demonstrator, simply email for details!

More punch art

Here is a fun card we made at camp in November. It is quite remarkable how much you can do with punches.............and many more new punches are on the horizon!

Nov Big Shot, Dec classes and last call for punch racks!

Tonight is November Big Shot class - here is one of the projects that we will be making. I will try to get the remaining samples (as well as Nov camp and Stamp a Stack!) up over the next few days.

There are hardly any classes left for 2009 - the year has flown by! Here is what there is left to attend:
December Camp – Thursday Dec 3 – 2:00pm or Fri Dec 4 7pm
December Split Class – Dec 10th 7pm
Choose between Big Shot ($15) or Mini Stamp a Stack (20 fabulous tags/notecards 4 designs, 5 each) - $15
You can do one class and take the materials home to finish the second for $25 for both

In addition, I am taking the final orders EVER for punch racks for the current style. If you would like one they are $40 and will require that you pick them up. They should be ready in early December. Email if you would like more details.

Extra*Ordinary Cards - Oct

Here is another card from last week's class - it includes several shimmery bits that get lost in the photography, it is much prettier in person!

Finally Finished!

Over the weekend I worked on watching all the training videos and taking all the quizes for becoming certified on My Digital Studio. I passed all the quizzes (took lots of notes!), but I learn best by doing. We were required to submit one finished project as the final step. I wanted to do a page as well, so I could retain some of what I learned. Here they are - I am certain that I will look back on these like we do our first stamping projects and wonder "What the heck was I trying to achieve?" Not too sold on either of them, but sure had fun playing with the software!
The top one is a 6x6 card, I have ordered it, so those of you who attend my classes will get to see the real thing. The second is a 12x12 page (individual, not part of a book).
In the next few weeks I will be setting up a website for those of you who purchase the software from me where I can add tips and tricks that I learn along the way. Watch for it!

catching up!

Early fall was a blur to me - started my new job at the same time we were in the thick of golf season! Most days were spent at the office til 3 and then at the golf course til 8 - home to dinner and homework to get up at 5am and do it all again. Now that I am slowly getting caught back up, I see that there are a lot of projects we made that never made their way to here! So, while they may a bit out of season - I will put them on - hope you enjoy!

Punch Class

These are the samples from Punch Class in Sept - when prepping for it, I found I had waaaaaaaaaaaay too many ideas for it, so we have been doing punch cards in most every class since (like the pumpkin one shown yesterday). This week watch for the Sept Camp punch crow card we did - and the one we will be doing at camp next Saturday. Punch out a bunch of scrap paper and start seeing the possibilities!

for Maryanne.... ; ^)

Here is a card that is super duper easy to make - so if you want to make a few for this weekend - you will have time to get it done. It is actually from last night's Extra*Ordinary cards class - the other two cards done were more time consuming, so I included a nice fast one!

Watch for the rest of that classes samples coming up - then a few cards made by my talented friends!

Last of the Big Shot samples from October

This was my favorite - the photo doesn't do it justice. Simple black and white Christmas card with highlights of red and silver. This sizzlet from the mini is so versatile - and inexpensive! Love that combo!

Oct 29, 2009

Big Shot sample number 3!

This is a super easy card - takes advantage of how unique the sweet treat cups make your project.

I loved the projects we did at Big Shot this month - hope you do to - you will be able to see one a day for the next four days!

SU! and Build a Bear

This card we made at Acheivers - designed by Susan. I love to color - so this line art Build a Bear is right up my alley!

Christmas Notecards

Um, let's see, I think these are from September camp ;^) A trio of glittery notecards. Fun to have a stack for yourself - and perfect for a small gift - tie a ribbon around 10 or so - or add one to a gift you are giving. None of them take much time, but they look like they did!

Projects from Sept Big Shot

Pull your Big Shot out when making fall projects - cuz here are some great ideas!

Oct 18, 2009

A twist on fall!

Here is a fun card designed by Amy - all the elements of fall, but with saffron and grey! Very pretty.....

What's Old is new....yet again!

This technique is an oldie, but goodie! I embossed the wheel onto vellum cardstock, flipped it over and colored with markers. Used my Big Shot with a basket die (groom paper, love it) and made a fun {and little spooky} halloween treat!

Big Shot and Homecoming!

Karisa and her friends put my Big Shot (and Susan's alphabet letters!) to good use for Homecoming! They ran zebra print fabric/fusible web thru the letter dies to make some CUTE shirts. Here they are at the game - sporting the shirts that got them so many compliments (and we won't tell, but they were cheap and easy!)
They even were featured on the local news during the sport segment!
All the fronts said ben davis giants.....
while the backs sported their names!

Better Late than Never!

Here are some of the things we made at camp earlier this month. I have spent today getting some pictures ready to make it easier to try and post samples - it has been a while!

Punch Racks.....yet again!

My husband has had a request to make another round of punch racks. They are $40 each. If you would like one email me and I can give you further details.

Long day today - straight from work to school to golf course... tomorrow straight from work home to camp!!! Still room I cut paper for 2 extras....

then it is a holiday weekend! yeahhh!

Big Shot tonight!

A reminder that Big Shot is tonight - projects look great - and as we often do, the Big Shot is doing most of the work for us, so they are simple!

The card above is from camp last week - another simple one!

Most of you know already, but I have taken another job. The combination of that and golf season means there will be few and far between posts on this site til the end of September. Sorry, there just are not enough hours in the day;^) I will also be moving RSVP requirements to give me more time before a class to prep for it - and pre-payment will also be needed for classes.

Thanks for understanding - it will take a few weeks to make the adjustments - I will have an ammended class schedule for the rest of the year posted next week. I love going to the golf matches and love watching the girls, but I am exhausted!! Thankfully Ris has become a one sport gal, so til after Spring Break, we are good!

Aug 12, 2009

August camp - register by tomorrow!

Here is one of the 5 projects. We are using 2 new Big Shot products - love both of them - as well as a new stamp set.

School started back today - other than having weight lifting first period, Karisa was very eager to get back. One good thing about the early golf schedules is she hasn't been able to sleep in much anyway, so it was no loss there! She also finished up her Honors Lit summer homework last night about 10:30pm, nothing like using every minute of your summer to get that done. They had a LOT of homework for that class - I never had summer homework.

There is a golf match tomorrow, so I need to be set up for camp before I leave - so the final RSVPs are needed by early tomorrow morning. It should be a fun camp - all the projects are easy, so if you have never been, it would be a great one to come too!

Branch Out 2 Go is ready

for pick up!! Pictures are bad, but today is the first day I have had time to get the pictures taken - and if you live in Indy, you know the sun has not been out all day!!
Here are pictures of 3 of the 5 project that participants get in their packets.

Where has the year gone????

If it's halfway over - that must mean it is time for August samples....
Here is one for August camp!

Some more inspiration!

Another project using the new XL treat box from Big Shot class earlier this month. It uses the Flamingo paper, which I lOVE!

This beauty is from Tami - have you noticed the new IC "Crushed Curry" is the color of my kitchen??? Everytime I read/type the name of this color - it sends me to a craving for curry......hm, maybe we shall have that for dinner tonight! We have fresh cucumbers in the garden - and my curries are best when they have a side of cucumber raita!
See some of you soon at EOC!!

Jul 23, 2009

July's Extra*Ordinary Cards!

Tomorrow is July's Extra*Ordinary card class - and you can see here the three projects we are making. EOC cards always take a bit more time and may use more embellishments than we might at a regular card class. Want to see the step up from ordinary on tomorrow's projects?
This card uses lots of texture - from the glossy panel, roughed edges and the big shot texturz plate. Glossy cardstock gives you extra time to 'work' with it - so this has layers and layers of images on the one image. There is sponging, markers and embosing! As with most 'extra*ordinary' cards - it looks much prettier in person - I was going for a look that you good give a guy, what do you think?

Project two uses my favorite stamp from the new catalog - the giant Medallion! This card isn't as time consuming - but makes use of the new Bride paper (LOVE it), pearls, ribbon and Razzleberry. The inside is decorated too!

Finally, a fun 'work of art card' - it is stamped, embossed, watercolored, spritzed, sponged and more! It uses watercolor cardstock and a lot of craft ink. I love the watercolor cardstock, you can work with it forever - and I can easily get lost in the painting.....which is why there are just 3 cards at these classes!

We are heading out for a bit of shopping - I will be cutting paper tonight - so you can still RSVP if you like! Don't forget - class is at 11:15!
