At the February Big Shot class - we will focus on packaging. Here are two baskets we will be making (stamped images will be different).

One is a totally recycled project - the clear heavyweight packaging we will run thru the machine stamps up great with white stazon!

The second is a felted basket - so cute! This sample that I made uses the bird (complete with a felt flower beak).

Friday Night Shoebox Swap

Teresa sent this great group photo from Friday night - and I remembered we meant to take one Saturday as well. It is such a challenge to get everything in, that it simply slipped my mind.

Flowers in Winter

Here are a few more cards from this past weekend - and I haven't even made a dent in all the ones I have to share with you! These were all made by Susan - this first one shows off two new Big Shot dies - the texture plate is used at the bottom and the movable/magnetic die that goes with the curly label punch.

Here she quickly demo'd how to add some "fabulous" (that was the word for the weekend it seemed!) color to the pretties flowers with craft ink, masks and water.

A Valentine Table

At Achievers last quarter we looked at some pictures of a display done with all sorts of Halloween type decorations. I thought it would be fun if we could do a Valentine one.

Due to the catalog changing over - the only paper we could pre-order that would possibly fit the bill was Raspberry Tart. Well, here you see what some incredibly talented ladies did with that one design of paper!

If you are having a celebration - just pick a themed paper and run with it!

Ok, the projects are ready to roll.....

Today we have the Friday night shoebox project that I contributed to the demonstrator training.

I picked up the frames when the Christmas stuff was 75% off at Meijer. We popped out the backing and made a cute valentine decoration.

Last week was a whirl with the new catalog coming out and our annual Demonstrator Training Day with my group. Much of what I stamped just before was for our time together - and now that it is over - I am ready and able to share with you!!

We had a great weekend. Friday night we did shoebox swaps (everyone designs a card, packs the stuff up and everyone gets to make them!) along with great food and lots of laughs. I will post all the cards we stamped!! We overnighted at a hotel - let me tell you - if you don't get any girl time where you can escape with other women - please try to! It is a breath of fresh air for you.....

Saturday was more stamping, swapping, learning and laughing! Be watching for it this week.

First off, one of our projects. This is an 8 1/2 by 8 1/2" chipboard scrapbook that we covered - it will also be part of my new scrapbook to go classes for this year - those will start in February!

some catalog hints...

while some of us are watching the snow blow by, others are down enjoying the sunny*ness of Florida - and they have the new catalog in hand.......

Lucky for me, I have a wonderful friend who is there - and called me within seconds of getting her hands on the catalog - here are a few things to look forward to.....

*new brads - new sizes and colors - jumbo things too

*tons of new designer papers - some are a new and different style

*LOTS of new Big Shot stuff - if you have been trying to 'not' have to get one, well, I am sorry:^)

there are new dies (one like the butterfly on the current catalog), new embossing dies AND new texture plates - you run your cardstock thru and it dry embosses the whole thing! Best part - you get 3 double sided images to a set and I think she said they are around $10!!

Make sure to come to debut - you will be able to join a Stamp Club and divide your purchases up all year long and/or join my Try It clubs - one time purchase where I buy lots of new stuff and divide it up in try it size portions!! Those are always popular and with the huge amount of new stuff it will be a great inexpensive way for you to try to see what you need in full packets!

Here is another card from camp this week - I wanted to get one more use of the tree before it is unavailable (it is in the mini, which ends soon!) - so I combined it with the Valentine Bundle special - I like it! I love Valentine's - the only time of the year you can mix reds of all sorts and not even blink when they don't match!!
