Ice Cream for a HOT summer's day!
Here is the fourth and final Big Shot class project for tomorrow! Sad to see the GIANT white polka dots leave - love BIG polkas!!
And some FYI's:
*The morning session of camp/catalog debut is now full
however there is plenty of room left at the evening session!
Don't forget - RSVPs for Big Shot are due by noon today and for next week's camp by tomorrow. I literally only have a couple of copies of non-reserved catalogs left - so if you want to attend Debut only - you can RSVP up til next Wed, but I can not ensure that you will have a catalog to take home if you wait!

How to get your 2009/2010 catalog
Ways to get your catalog FREE:
*Club members who have club periods past July
*Hostesses who have a workshop booked for July, August, or Septemeber
*Make a $50 purchase at debut and get a free catalog
*Make a $50 purchase in June via my webstore and for just $5 shipping get a free catalog mailed to you (offer expires June 26th)
You may also purchase a catalog at debut for just $7 All mailed catalogs will have discount coupons good for several specials!
If you are not a club member, then you will need to make sure to email me and reserve a copy, I can't guarentee that you will have a copy to take home unless I hear from in time to reserve one of the few copies I have left.
I will only have limited numbers of catalogs for that day and the only way to ensure that you will have a copy is to email me and reserve yours - otherwise you will need to wait til my next shipment arrives in June!

From Flea Market Trash....to a much nicer treasure!
Here's a quick 1 hour project I did over the weekend....
Started with a charming pink vintage plant stand that I had picked up at flea market several years ago - it was getting more an more 'vintage' all the time! I know that Shabby Chic is fun, but this was getting a bit 'too' shabby. If I had a bunch of pieces near my front door that coordinated, it would have worked in it's sad state longer, but since I didn't - I had to wonder what my neighbors might think of my home inside!!
It is a lovely metal plant stand and it was a little disappointing to cover up what (I think) was the original pink paint job. I opted for dark blue spray to match our shutters.
I sanded it down and gave it a coat of blue rustoleum spray paint.

As it is - I simply stamped in musturd craft ink - and slightly heat set it. We will see how it holds up to the rain and direct sun - the nice thing is - the whole thing already looks old, so aging it will not harm the overall 'look'.

So long.....

and some more...
spent the morning going thru dividing out all the retiring In Color stuff...not sure how I will survive without my kiwi kiss :^{
af first I thought {green fan that I am} that with NOT a green in site for the upcoming In Colors that I would be hard pressed to love them.....
however - just look at this.....I think I can be happy!
Just have to bucket up the supplies for the morning and am done. Came home from the golf course to dinner being prepped....and we stopped at Long's Donuts - so it should be a good evening at home!

Out with the Old, In with the New!
I thought I would be at a golf match bright and early this morning - but with the huge amount of rain we got yesterday, the course was flooded.....so I have some unexpected time!
I do have to get ready for tomorrow's Extra*Ordinary Card class, but have some time now to work on catalog transition stuff.....
First, here are some sets of cards from retiring stamps - I took several shots this morning. Today's set is Zoofari. One of my favorite projects from a past camp is above - the zebra with the cool tail! We totally fringed the black gingham ribbon to end up with a black and white striped tail - isn't he cute?
I will be sending an email out later this morning - there will be a SALE on retiring sets!

stampin' and swimmin;
Hoping to swim today.....We had thought about swimsuit shopping for Ris, but then got a 30% off additional coupon for Kohls - it doesn't start til the 11th and I hate to pay full sale price ;^)
I do think I make take a second and tear into my new stamps and In Colors - they are so rich and jeweled tone, can't wait to play with them!
Here are two (but the pot isn't finished) projects from the upcoming Stenciling class - hope you can join us for that!

June Big Shot!
Jun 7, 2009
What we made at June Camp....
In the past, June has always been my 'retirement' camp - but since the Last Chance List was posted later than usual this year - I took a stab in the dark at what might go - and missed on a couple of them!! We did use lots of paper that will be gone by the month's end.....
Card One: nothing leaving on this one - Inspired by Nature and Baroque Motifs
Card Two: Hostess set God's Beauty - and we incorporated a *new* punch and some vintage sheet music I picked up last summer
Card Three: Tart and Tangy - again, not leaving! But the fabulous Rockabilly paper - love it - is
Card Four - Rustic Rooster - another hostess set - Sweet Slumber DSP and incorporated with Tangerine and one of my least favorite colors, Handsome Hunter
Card Five - This time the Sweet Slumber DSP shines - on the sides that I love. It really isn't paper at all, but double sided textured cardstock - buttons that have sold out - all combined with my Big Shot cupcake die
Card Six - Wild About You - is retiring - and will be featured again this week at the Extra*Ordinary card class
Sorry you missed it, if you did!
BTW, I do sell most all of my retiring merchandise - if you would be interested in the list of what I have available from past years (some as cheap as $2!) and what I will sell July 1 - shoot me an email!
