Sticky Cuts....and beads

I have had fun prepping for Tuesday's Sticky Cuts class - this is one of the 6 projects - I turned it into a clipboard, but it can easily be a scrapbook cover if you prefer!
It uses sticky cuts, the new hodgepodge, the on board basic covers, cosmo glitter, pink and clear beads - just a whole lotta fun stuff!
There is a golf tournament tomorrow, so I hope to get the final two projects done today. Check back tomorrow to see them or maybe some retiring set samples....

Have you checked your list?

Checked it twice??
Today is the last day for the retiring stamp kick-off.
Soon I will post the few stamp sets that I still have from the LAST retiring list here with prices if you are looking for a deal or a set you missed.

If you are interested in the list of the used sets I have that I will sell in August, you can email me for that. It will be a bit before the list is ready.......and I will send it to my club members, hostesses and those who attend my classes regularly for a preview (first dibs!) look.
Off to the movies today!

They're Going....

The Stampin' Up! retired list is out for the current catalog.

Here are some quick samples from old pictures I already had stored in my computer. I will do my best to get samples with other sets up over the next few weeks. Some of the samples may use retired colors or other products (and obviously my SU! trademark needed some work back then, I forgot it used to be so ghastly!)

Classes..

Three more classes left for June - all three are totally different ways to use your stamping skills!

This is a preview of the upcoming Sticky Cuts class - on this sample I used the beads/microbeads, it is very pretty!

I have come down with a rather nasty summer cold and have spent most of the week in a rather pathetic state. It has been a bummer as I am now a little behind. Today I don't feel as bad, but I have a nasty cough I can't get rid of.

Rain Rain Go Away!

It is pouring yet again. It is supposed to stop before mid-morning. The ground is saturated....not the best weather for finding time to play some golf :(
Here is a card to brighten your morning - one of the projects from this month's Camp.

Once in a Lifetime!

The craft fair in southern Indiana was Saturday. If you have heard anything about Indy weather over the last two days, you know we experienced "100 year" flooding.

We left Saturday morning in torrential rain. We get torrential rain - for like 3 minutes, then it stops. There was no stopping. We felt like we were in a powerwash carwash for one straight HOUR. Got to the farm. There was no rain. Didn't rain the entire time. Left to come home and saw that the main interstate back north was filled with stopped traffic. Hm, turn on the radio.

All roads NORTH were flooded and closed. What? This does not happen in south central Indiana. There was 11 inches of rain in 3 hours. We worked our way home thru back roads (my grandparents had owned a cottage in the area, so I was familiar enough with it to get thru). We saw devasting flooding - I will post those pictures tomorrow. For today, the few hours at the herb farm where we thought we had just driven thru the pouring rain that had stopped.
Can't life be like that? Rain, some beauty and then some total unknown?

Wish I could bottle up some of our overabundance of wather and ship it to you in Australia!

Camp today, stamping with friends tomorrow (one who lives in the middle of one of the worst flooded areas), golf later this week (think the course will be dry??)
I will have camp samples that I have not put up later too!

Fairy Time!

Tomorrow (Saturday) we will be at Streamcliff Herb farm in southern Indiana for a craft fair.
We have a box full of pixies - ready for new homes. Here is a picture of just part of the farm. It is beautiful!
The website for the farm is here:
If you are looking for an enjoyable way to spend your Saturday - try it!

Last call for camp!

If you plan on coming to camp this coming Sunday night or Monday morning, I need to know by Friday noon. We have a killer weekend and I have timetabled every minute between now and camp starting. Cutting paper is to occur tomorrow morning!

The two projects above are for the Sticky Cuts class later this month.

Spent a very warm morning at a golf tournament. Second shower needed, was not on my timetable, so now I have to speed things up!

ForFun!

I am Elinor Dashwood!

Take the Quiz here!

Ris and I have been making fairies - which included a movie marathon - this is sad, but so far this week we have covered: Sense and Sensibility (go Elinor), Pride and Prejudice (BBC version - no short one for us!), Steel Magnolias, Bride and Prejudice - a couple of Star Treks (for her, she is obsessed with Voyager) and the first four episodes of Lost (we are watching season one over).

If you love Austen, find out who you are most like!

card for the day

Here is a swap card I got from Tonya - cute, eh?

I would love to know if you find the tag function on the left useful. If there are other ways you want to seach just this site, scroll down to the search funtion. Are there other tags that you would like me to incorporate?

Jun 3, 2008

Here to help!

I have added a Tag feature just to the left hand side of this article.
Here you can easily click on a word (themed or by some stamp sets that have been used more often) and find all the times pictures of those categories have been featured. I removed a lot of the chit chat, so a lot of it will just be pictures! I hope this helps you. For example, if you have lots of chipboard after last months sale on it - click chipboard. Trying to decide if you NEED one more set from the current Occassions mini before it retires (you do!) - click that.
Here are two cards for camp this Sunday/Monday. The popsicle is too cute - but not my own creation - just a variation I have seen floating around the web - actually Target has a gift card holder that is very similar.
