Happy Labor Day!

Another card....another friend. This fun rose (high up on my wish list) is from one of my favorite people, Susan. Love the colors.
The picture is from the first day of high school (sun is just coming up when the bus is coming) - I photoshoped it a bit to give her a glow, but she was excited, so some of the glow is natural! If you don't have Photoshop Elements - I would recommend giving it a whirl - there is so much that you can do with it.

Love my stampin friends....

Here are two gorgeous samples, the top one by Theresa and the bottom by Susan.
Don't they just make you want to go stamp????

Punch+Paper=Fun

A recipe for fun??

Last night was Punch Class Three! It was a lot of fun (and a bit of a late night!). There are endless possibilities that you can create with the many Stampin' Up! punches. The ladies left last night with over 25 ways to use the different shapes.

Here is just a brief snapshot of the night.....

At a class, we often often focus on the techniques to build your stamping/scrapbooking skills. Instead of leaving with a finished project, we did four sheets of punch techniques. These can be put in sleeve protectors and used for future reference while stamping.

Here is the mess that is still downstairs (one room, I have gotten the other table put back together!). I will be sending out an email later today to those of you on my list. Gotta get to it before heading to the golf course.

Last of the camp samples....

not that we made, but all I am going to post - life is picking up pace at a breakneck speed again and I am ready to be done with August camp - really I am ok to be done with August. Labor day anyone??
I need to put finishing touches on my swaps - lunchin' with my stampin friends tomorrow for some trading and some playing with the Big Shot - can't wait!
I am also figuring what to keep and what to lose as part of the punch 3 class - there are far too many things that we could do - look for a punch four class in early January!
We have seen the Holiday mini - and I need to see how to fit it all into my class schedule. If I can get that done, then I will try to send an email today. The mini is fabulous - unlike any we have had before. There will be a Try It club for just the mini - I will announce it mid-Sept and would like to order it Oct 1 - so keep watching! The Try It Clubs from the new catalog have all been totally filled now!

Old Stamp - New Paper!

Another camp sample - demonstrators can pre-order limited new supplies when we have new catalogs come out. This year the only paper we could get was Bella Rose - and it is a very pretty one. Camp focused on new stamps and new colors. While using this paper I wanted to choose a set that really takes advantage of the patterns, making Pick a Petal a great choice. Of course, the new scallop border was used - once for the scallop and once for the faux rick rack!

Facebookin'!

I hopped over to my facebook just to have a 'quick' look and found a completely addicting fun thing. You plug in the names of who you want a collage with and it searches from the pictures that have been tagged with those names.

I did some of just me, some of Serg and I, some of Ris and I and some of the three of us. I just kept hitting 'retry' and it would come up with a new configuration.

Plus, it let me save them (some were very odd, those I didn't keep) - can't you just envision the scrapbooking opportunities?

It was a bit like having your life flash before your eyes!

August Camp Project Number 2!

We did 6 projects at camp Sat/Monday - here is the second.

It was fun using new colors (we watercolored with the refills - Tangerine, Kiwi and Baja Blue)
The Tangerine is a great 'happy' color - don't ya think?

Camp Cards!

Tomorrow morning finishes up this month's camp - check back on this space over the week to see the projects that we made. This easy Christmas card uses a new hostess set - it was inspired by a sample I saw on the Stampin' Up! website.

Other than camp and three golf matches - this week I will be playing office catch up - getting everything back in order after a wonderful summer!

Off to a golf match (hopefully the rain is leaving!). I will try to send an email tomorrow - as well as answer emails/phone calls that I got today.... the day has slipped away with errands, etc and I need to get out the door!

Show + Tell - literally:)

I have been so busy lately that I have not had time to create anything at all. {I did start working on my swaps for my swap group last night while watching the Opening Ceremonies of the games}

So, in lieu of anything that is mine to show - I 'borrowed' these pictures from an 'old' friend (in the sense ONLY that we have known each other for over 20 years....:)). Here we are at her home - she was hosting a bridal shower for me (an obivous reason to need shoulder pads in my shirt:))
Paula began a blog earlier this year, and I have LOVED reading it. She recently re-did her office and creative space - in it's first life it was the laundry. Isn't it just fabulous??? I will let Paula's work inspire you for now - hop on over to her blog and see all the detail in her office - she recently began working on a fabric line - Karisa would say that is "uber cool"!
Her site is called Show + Tell While there you can see some of her amazing interior design work.
And just so my swap girls know that I have at least started....... here are these......

And, here is the end of summer proof - last week of summer before Karisa starts High School and my niece Makenzie begins kindergarten. They grow up so quickly! We had a great day at the zoo. Wouldn't you love this weather to stay?!

We're Home!

We had a fabulous time in Tennesse and are home now. One last week of summer filled with with golf, freshman orientation, school supply shopping and quite a bit *more* golf.
I will try to send one update during the week - we will see how that goes -then August 11th, life returns to some sort of normal!
