Farewell To 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog with One Last Tiffany Inspired Celebration Card

In the midst of a super crazy busy week in our family - we will say goodbye to what was one of my favorite catalogs from Stampin' Up!  What better what than with this set that from the day it came out was my favorite bundle!  This time I have gone with a fun "Tiffany Inspired" blue and silver combination of colors.

I love so many elements of this stamp set and die bundle - but that little bow - for that alone -you SO need this in your collection if you don't yet have it!  It was one of the first stamp sets I featured from this catalog last summer.  To see that card - you can revisit that post here - and it's fun because instead of silver and blue - it's Lemon Lime Twist and Berry!  I also gave you a little hint if you want to use your bow with metallic papers.

Here is my last video from this year (which, I must admit, makes me a tad sad....I have the cupcake box, the picnic card and a couple of others that I just ran out of time to film.....so I will think HAPPY thoughts of the swaps I have waiting to film and finish and can't wait to share with you and those I am sending them off to!) For now - here is my Short and Simple Video:

The Gold bridal card I made with the scalloped icing, well, that WAS the icing on this cake, lol.  I loved everything about the card, the colors, the paper, the embellishments - most of which will no longer be available after the end of this month.  I posted it again recently, but if you missed it - you can catch the original post HERE

Of course after the bow, the next die you will reach for again and again will be the striped tag.  Last summer used it as an accent piece - which gives a super cool effect - see how to do that here.

With THAT - this is a wrap on Catalog 2017-2018.  You have a little over 24 hours to place any last orders on products that will retire.  Make sure to check your ink refills and cardstock on colors that were "In" and now Out - or that are leaving as part of the Color Refresh.  With a refill - your pads will last for many years to come!  Remember there are also several items available on closeout sale prices!

Do you still need a 2018-2019 catalog?  I have more coupon books and catalogs ready to mail out!  I will be going to the post office on Friday afternoon - so any order placed online (over $35) I will get one in the mail to you!!! Tomorrow's post will let you know how to start redeeming coupons for those of you who have them from your mailed catalogs.  If you want to attend NEXT week's catalog debut camp, watch for details or check your email~

All orders over $35 will get fun grab bags of things full of items that appeared in the current Annual, Occasions and this year's Holiday catalogs!

Springtime Impressions Cheery Masked Brusho Thinking of You Card

Here is another card that I had for the girls at our recent Shoebox Swap.  You may recognize it as something I did with a similar card in March.   This time it uses the same Brusho and a new die - but when paired with the returning favorite color Poppy Parade - it gives it a whole new Bright and Cheery Summer feeling!!

The dies are called Springtime Impression and are part of a Bundle that is going to be super popular - the stamps are called Abstract Impression.  The dies don't cut ANYTHING out in the stamp set though - they are just beautiful cut outs on their own.

Here is the video.....if you watched the same technique in March - it will all come back to you!

I should completely call this the Lazy Brusho Technique - because it's a Two Card in One technique and it came to be by the fact that the first time I did it in the winter I was cold and there was no scrap paper lying near me.  If you are like me then often white (shimmer, glossy, vanilla - are they not all the same, lol) often are in such abundance on your workspace that they can stand in for scrap.  When I watercolored my original onto the 'scrap' I quickly realized that I now had a second (just a beautiful!) piece to work with!

This die is actually easier than the Petal Palatte than I used before - the one large piece is so much nicer to hold on to add the Brusho too.

If you look closely you can see that I switched up the color choices from one card to the second.  Once this card goes live and I can add the shopping list in early June I am going to add the original designs as well - most of the items I used on those cards will carry over

Then - make sure to come back in just a couple days (probably after the holiday!) so you can see the rest of the dies in put to use on the 'scrap' piece I have left from this first card!!

The Thinking of You sentiment is from the upcoming stamp set Rooted in Nature.  On the second card in this set I will use stamps from Abstract Impressions - which is part of the bundle that goes with the dies.

Are you counting the days til you can order?  Do you still need a catalog?  I have more coupon books and catalogs ready to mail out!  I will be going to the post office on Friday afternoon - so any order placed online (over $35) I will get one in the mail to you!!!  You can be redeeming coupons on June 1!!!!

You Are My Sunshine with Stitched All Around Bundle

Another Sneak Peek today - although the days are getting so close that it feels like it's time for the catalog to be live!  I still have 2 or 3 retiring videos to edit....so the pressure is now more on to get those done for you to see!  You will want to be sure to visit my site and be on my email list those last couple of days of May.  I feel like I will need to do a big Giveaway and a major kind of sale, lol.  There is a video today, but it is further down in the post than usual!

The Project I have today was one that I was pleasantly surprised with.  I am a sucker for anything that says "You are my Sunshine" as it was my Grandma's signature song.  I have her Avon "Lilly Of the Valley" bottle in my office (I included it in some of my photos - her name was Lillian), so when I saw the words in the stamp set it was just an emotional purchase.
Preparing for my girls to come over for the Shoebox Swap on Sunday I found myself late Saturday night (isn't that when creativity strikes - those last minutes?) staring at the stack of stuff I still had not used from my Preorder.  I decided to use the Sunshine.  The dies that are part of this bundle are the "stitched" part - thus the name - and I always run them all through the Big Shot first to see what I am working with.  So take a look at this bundle of fun.  Those of us who-can-but-would-rather-do-anything-but Sew can now get the fun stitching effect on our cards with some quick passes through the Big Shot!
There are frames for the words and images in the set.

There are stitched borders, both the regular stitching you can see on my card and one that more resembles a cross stitch.

There is even a large stitched background....I attempted to put it on my card because it is super cool - but I wanted this card to have a light and airy feel and it was just not the look I wanted.  But - next time.  I am so excited to combine these dies with so many other products.  NOW - here you go - have a watch out how easy this card was to put together!

Super easy, eh?!

Here is a nice close up of the stitching effects combined with what is sure to be one of the most popular ribbon choices this year.

You will have noticed my dies came out very easily with one pass back and forth on just the standard base.  One note - when using the stitching - I found it was best to just go ONE time (not back) for the best look.  If you went back again it made more of a hole, not a stitch.

The inside of the card I did a little rainbow effect with the sponge. As you fly through the catalog the first dozen times - make sure to stop and really look at this set.  Because it is a lot of words and borders I know sometimes they get missed.  It reminds me of my poor little Celebration set of last year.  It has great dies and simple but such useful words - often ya'all are looking at the pictures and the bigger art images of the stamps.

Page 17.  Stitched All Around.  If you are an online customer of mine - you will have your catalog any day now.  If you were at May camp - you have it.  If you NEED a catalog - contact me - I know a girl.....lol.  On June 1 when the catalog is live online I will be able to add the links.  Don't skip the page.  If you will be at June camp - you are in luck - this is a JUNE CAMP PROJECT!

Til then here is the May Hostess Code - everyone who orders $35 or more this month will have  a free catalog sent to them.  I will get to the Post Office as soon as my schedule allows me.

Place an order and use this code A2N7NKY2 at check out

All orders over $35 will get fun grab bags of things full of items that appeared in the current Annual, Occasions and this year's Holiday catalogs!

Sitting Pretty Missing You Card with Macrame' Succulent and End of Camp Blast Sale

Today's post will be short - but the card is super fun! So take a few minutes to watch the video here (or go over to YouTube so you can see it a little bit better!)

This is a project featuring an upcoming bundle "Sitting Pretty"
As with many of the new bundles - they do so much more than JUST cut out the images now.  This was the first card I used the embossing mat on and I didn't really know what I was doing..... there will be better uses of it to come.

This weekend I had 2 sessions of camp and have had 1 downline Shoebox Swap today...one more tomorrow.  Which is why this post will be short on words..... But I will have several new fun and super cute projects coming your way in the next few days.  So stay tuned!

This is a project from the event I had for my downline just after returning from On Stage in Atlanta.  I don't think we will be making it at any events again - but it is a fun one for you all to see - and if you are at my events you can see the cool macrame' effect in person.  I was really pleased with how it turned out and how easy it was to do.

We will use the bundle in July, but I will so a card that is a little simpler - and will maybe tie in the Bulldog (throwback to my Brownsburg alma mater - and any of you Butler fans!!)
To see how I did the macrame' just watch the video - much easier to see in person than it is to try to explain.....  It is from one of the wider burlap ribbons that is currently in the catalog...and good news....it will still be available in the June new catalog!

Here is a close up of the plant.

And here is the stone die run through with the Embossing Mat.  Now - to go clean up from this afternoon's event and get ready for my morning girls.  Can I tell you just how much I love my job!?  What a joy to welcome ladies that you love to be with in to your home, to create with, laugh with and just enjoy to spend time with.

And don't forget....a few hours left on the Last Blast Sale from my camp this week!  Save Big.  Get a FREE card - featured in one of my recent videos....free product (your choice!) and discounts from Stampin' Up! on several retiring products!

2018-2018 Catalog Camp LAST BLAST Specials!

This weekend I have my 2 last camps to usher out the fabulous catalog that WAS 2017-2018....and as soon as those ladies are out the door.... my demonstrator team will be in with their little shoeboxes as we stamp and swap with new stamps and get ready for next month and the wonderful things in store in the upcoming 2018-2019 catalog.

For now - One last special....I usually only share these with my email subscribers...but because it's a BLAST - this time if you stumble on this - it's for EVERYONE (US residents only!).  Campers, you will have a little something more.

PLUS - all orders that I get over $35 will also get a free 2018-2019 Catalog sent to them with a thank you gift.

First - here are the 6 projects we will be making as we bid farewell (and do a little sneak peek too!) - Ready? My YouTube has several of the videos up (and all will be by the end of next week - and from there you can find the matching blog posts!

This card is the new Share What You Love Bundle.  What do I love about it?  Um, EVERYTHING!!  It's kind of a flashback to the 80's in color (at least I think) -and who doesn't like a little dust on their colors?! The papers are pearly.  Beautiful.  I show them all of in the video - and because I couldn't STAND to tape a side down, the card is designed so the front flips and you get so see both sides.

Pineapple times 3.  Pineapple Punch - itty bitty punch - retires along with the suite.  So tiny, so cute.  Get it.  Who doesn't need some itsy bitsy fruits?  Pineapple Punch, the ink pad - YOU can get them now! On special - keep reading!  Pineapple Punch the BLEND - I know, right?  Hang on....June is nearly here!

Be still my Tiffany inspired heart.  This was the bundle I first fell in love with when the catalog was brand new in our hands this time last year.  Then late summer we got word that [WHAT???] no one was buying it?  I mean, I know I am drawn to things others tend not to like, but I just don't get it.  The bow alone!  I did a series of classes on it - so my YouTube is filled with several videos.  Then just a couple of weeks ago you know I drug them out again.  Sorry, I just love this bundle.  The dies are on sale....trust me, it's adorbs.

So this.  This box could launch a series of blog posts that could go on for years.  It became a comedy of errors that became a soap opera of depression.  It has a happy ending.  I think.  We will see.  I like to do series of projects - and that is the intent on this one, but oh my word.  The box itself is from our very own Stampin' Up President Sara Douglass and the pattern can be found on her Facebook page!  It uses the retiring Sweet Soiree paper and Embellishment kit - the box itself - super simple!  AND the DSP is on SALE!

I have always loved this Stamp and Die set - The video for it went up last night.  I need to fire my camerawoman.  My kindergarten nephew is so impressed I am a  "Youtuber" lol - maybe I could hire him to make sure my Big Shot stays in frame....it is all so much.  Anyway - the card uses the Dies that are retiring and ON SALE (see my theme?!) and some of our NEW Colors!!  Just because items leave doesn't mean they won't all mix well together.  Mix it all up!  The Basket folder will come back after a short time away.  The washi tape...going - but that Granny Apple Green cardstock...makes your heart happy!

Finally....look at all the NEW In Colors - you can get them NOW on sale in the Collection!  I have had the picnic set and tried to pull a card together before we left for Ireland and it was just blah.  But once I had these bright and cheery colors - that was all it needed!  This is in the Occasions and yes, retiring.

So - here is the special
