Graceful Glass Long Stained Vellum Card

This is another Sneak Peek bundle from the upcoming June release of the Stampin' Up! 2018-2019 Catalog!  Reminds me a little of Beauty and the Beast... a little of the cathedrals in Italy, Slovenia and Scotland that we have visited on recent trips - and even of my very first days of stamping - when coloring on the back of vellum was ALL the rage!
This suite has lots of fun things.  You have seen me sneak a peek of the cord before on the Animal Outing card - this time around I used the snips to shred it just a bit to add some of the wonderful gems to it.

I had originally hoped to remind you that the one Embossing Folder (the bricks - seen on the premade card...the one in the video below.....is not the bricks) would be retiring and it is a PERFECT match for this set.  But before I got around to all of the steps it takes to put up a blog post.....the folder has sold out.  Uggg.  Anyway here is the video how to

And let THIS serve as your reminder that things on the retiring list are starting to appear on the SOLD OUT portion at a much quicker clip!  If you are waiting to get anything other than stamps....you may be disappointed should you wait much longer!

The paper stack I used on this card is a 6x6 vellum preprinted stack.  If you use Blends - you can color on the front.  I chose to use the Stampin' Write Markers - as I wanted to match the colors to the new gems that will be in the suite.  Are they not perfect little adornments on this card??!  The markers take a little longer to dry and work better if you color on the back.

The pastel hues along with the shreddie effect of the ribbon are fun unexpected highlight of the card.

The card is a non standard size - so if you wanted to stick it in an envelope you would need to create one on your own.  The card is a 12 x 4 1/4 and then folded in half.  Then the half circle die sticks off the top again.  I would use it on top of a gift bag or on top of a gift - why hide something so pretty inside of an envelope?

I also used a new punch on the tag.  This punch works so much better than the last one that looked very similar.  Just use the guides to slide your paper in and push (very easily!!) straight down in the middle. Perfect every single time.  One of the new colors - GRANITE! - helps frame the bricks.

We made this card at my Demo team prep day - one of my favorite things to do for the girls on my team.  They come over and bring snacks to share and I have 8-14 projects ready to go for them - all with new catalog items.  This upcoming year I am working on ways to get my long distance girls more involved.  So - if you are local to me - or even if you are not - and are interested in being part of the Stampin' Up! family - contact me and I can give you all the information you need!!

This camp won't be one that is made at a camp - but I will be using the set  Painted Glass and the bundle Graceful Glass at a camp for sure - when I post that video and the catalog is live - I will go back and add a shopping list to this post.  So check back if you want to order the items needed to make this card!
