Camp is Next Week! If you are in the Indy Area - You are Welcome to Join!

Those of you who are in the Indy area - don't forget camp is next week!
I have some super fun projects for you!  The ones above use a Brusho technique I came up with earlier this year ....out of laziness!  It is a two card from one - you will love it!  The results look like you spend a lot of time crafting the cards - but they go pretty quick.  I am going to put the videos down at the bottom of this post.  If you are coming - you can watch before if you like - if you can't make it, then take a second to see how it's done!
This card above was made by my friend Christy and I will be adapting a version for camp.  I have not yet used my Tropcial bundle yet - and I LOVED her take on it.  I will be sure to include some of the elements that she has in hers!

This card is another that is a prototype - although we may end up doing it just like it is!  We will use the laser cut paper and a light touch of watercolor with our new pencils!

We will be doing this quick Puzzle card with the Love You to Pieces Bundle.  It uses the new embossing mat - I will show you at camp what happens if you DON'T use the mat, lol.

Our final project will feature the Limited Edition  Blended Seasons Bundle.....and I am not quite sure yet what we will be doing with it....stay tuned!

As always - all you need to bring is adhesive.  Camp is $20 for the 6 projects - or FREE if you order $65 while at camp.  This month if you order $65 you also get a FREE stamp pad (your choice of color!)  Order $100 and get TWO stamp pads!

Here are the Brusho Videos!  Enjoy  - would LOVE to see you at camp!

It's Time to Camp in October!

It's October already!  We will do mostly autumn themed projects again this month....but because of the stamp sets that Stampin' Up! has on sale - and all that Buy Three Get One FREE paper...... I adjusted the projects list yesterday to include two Christmas projects that feature those.

Camp is FRIDAY.  There are two sessions.  Not a lot of space left at the 7pm - but plenty at 1pm.  I do need to know if you are coming by this WEDNESDAY night (as in tomorrow!)  My prep time is very limited this week....so I need to know what I am working with :)  Can't make it?  Find out how you can still get all the finished projects - information is at the bottom of the post!

If you are in the Indy area and have never been - you are always welcome to join!  Classes are on the westside.  Use the link below this post to comment and I can contact you that way - or follow on Facebook and I can get a hold of you there right away.  All you need to bring is adhesive (and if you don't have any on your first visit - that's ok - you can use mine!)  Everything else is provided.

Cost is $20.  Or - if you purchase $65 in catalog product, your camp is FREE.

Here are this month's camp projects -

This card uses the glossy resist technique.  It is so easy to do - and gives such elegant results.  The colors mix so nicely with the new Champagne foil paper.

This is a funky fall favorite of mine!  Love the eclectic mix of patterns of patterns and colors.  BONUS:  the paper is one of the ones on the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE special!

These little hot chocolate cups couldn't be any sweeter!  Add water to the top and they hold just the right amount for a small chocolate treat.... Don't like hot chocolate?  That's ok - a Kcup fits perfectly too!  How fun to leave one of these on a co-workers desk.  DOUBLE BONUS - the paper?  It's in the SAME pack as the card above!  See, you just have to add it to your list.

These little pizza boxes can hold all kinds of things - I included sugar cookies decorated like jack o lanterns in these that I gave away.  At camp you can take yours home empty, ready to fill.  This set it called Seasonal Chums - the stamps?  Adorable.  The Big Shot bundle - even more so.  It includes those little spiderwebs and tiny little bats!

This Brightly Lit stamp set is one of the ones ON SALE this month - as is the paper. Get it now - I love it.  It will make several appearances on my site over the next few days.  You are going to "need" it - trust me!
Finally - Joining the Pumpkin in the Seasonal Chums Bundle is this little girl!  Many of you already have the Wooden Crate - This time I used one of the B3G1 papers to make the crate all kinds of festive and filled it with kisses.  In case you are counting - I gave you THREE of the sale papers (2 Christmas and an Autumn - leaving you to pick your free one, lol)

Many of these have (or will soon) video tutorials up on my YouTube Channel if you would like to see the how to's.

Can't make it to camp?  Want the finished projects?
Purchase $200 in product through my WEBSTORE now through OCTOBER 20th - email me to let me know that you did and that you want the projects.  I will send all 6 to you as a thank you.  (you will need to assemble the cup, basket and box so they don't get damaged in the mail)

It's Christmas in......August (lol)

Camp is next week - and we will be getting a head start on Christmas stamping with this fun new special from Stampin' Up!  You will LOVE the die cuts that are part of this bundle.

Going to get this card done - because I placed my preorder from the Holiday Mini Catalog (available to customers on Sept 1) and nearly 100% of my (rather large) order was for autumn....and Christmas is my weakness.  I am anticipating trying to sneak in an additional Christmas camp this year!

If you want to get a head start on your Christmas projects with this bundle - visit my Webstore today.
Through August 13th this is a DOUBLE POINTS purchase as part of my Interactive Loyalty Rewards Program!  You can find details of that HERE

Fun in a Jar! Stampin' Up's embossing paste!

When you have been stamping for 2 1/2 DECADES - sometimes you kind of feel like you have been there done that.  Sometimes a great new exciting fad or technique comes along - and us oldies are like.....yea, we were doing that in 1998.....

But on occasion there is something that really is new and rocks your world!  A couple of years ago it was Wink of Stell (if you watch the videos in my Quick Video series - you will witness my love of Stella.  It is all I can do to not use it to add some happiness to every card)

Now it is the embossing paste.  So easy to use!  And what fun effects on your projects.  Both of these cards use it - once I get some time, expect to see it in several videos.  But for now - just some teasers!  We will be making the door card at my August camp, if you are in the Indianapolis area and would like more information, give me a shout out.

And for you all - if you feel the need to try some paste....make sure to get details on my Interactive Rewards Loyalty Program

Now - to go see if I can add some stella to the paste......

A Little Wild Elephant video!

Here is the video I promised to go with the adorable card we made at camp last week!  Take a second to watch just so you can see how super simple it is!

I was using up my extra camp supplies  - I had enough of everything to complete several more of the card.....except for the little pink bow.

When the card was originally just 'in my head' I intended to put the elephant front ON the front and the back on the inside of the card.  Ad the bows not been laying on my table from another project that is how it would have stayed.  (see sometimes it is a good thing when you don't always clean up right away!)

If you would like to make this project on your own - you can find all the supplies listed below!  If you are shopping via my webstore you will qualify to be part of my
Interactive Loyalty Reward program!  You can read all about that HERE

Back home and Back to work!

This summer has been a whirlwind!  It started with college graduation, a special wedding and three trips right in a row.  Spent some time in Kentucky with my daughter, sister, nieces and grandnephews.  Amusement parks are so much fun - and that is just multiplied when you throw in a daring 5 year old!  Then it was off to Williamsburg, VA for some more amusement parks, history and golf and the Outer Banks, NC for some beach time.  Back home for the 4th and a low key 23rd birthday for my daughter (those kids parties were SO much work, but I must admit I kind of miss them....). And yesterday we returned from a few days with my other sister as she, my daughter and I visited another niece who has moved to work in Connecticut.  So many memories....and so much food, lol.  Anticipating next week when much of our garden is ready to start harvesting!

This week is camp.  I have several projects that I have made (some for an event that was delayed, some just 'messing around').  In the midst of all of the craziness the new catalog has started and I have a literal STACK of new stamp sets sitting on my table......I decided the best way to go was to just start from the top of the stack.

So - here is one I whipped up this morning that we will be making at camp this Friday night or Saturday morning.  If you are in the Indianapolis area - feel free to join us!

Sometimes with baby cards I like to offer both a pink and a blue version - or go a neutral yellow or green.  But while coloring in this little girl I glanced over at the new tiny bows laying there and just new it HAD to be a girl card!

The original intent was for the front of her to be on the front of the card.....but the bow was crying out to be featured front and center!

The little grey strip is one of the dies from the bundle.  The set is actually designed to be used as tags (so cute!) but I snipped them apart to make into the card.

If you are not able to make it to camp and would like to make this card - simply purchase the stamp set or the entire bundle on my website by the end of July and I will send you the materials you need to make it at your home.

A video how to for the card will be on the website later this month!

Introducing 2017-2019 In Colors - all on one card!

This is a super easy card - taking it back to literally just stamping and adding some ribbon!

The card uses the Lovely Friends stamp set.  Which - is the same set I made the wreath card with and posted last week.  I didn't intend to use the new In Colors on the card - it just kind of happened.

When I was gathering the supplies up to make the card at camp - that is when I noticed.  The Lemon Lime twist is just a highlight in the centers of the flowers.  It is my favorite new color - but stamping on the top of the new pink and the new berry muted it.

Here is the 3 minute video so you can see just how easy it is.

A couple of things you will notice on the video.
 1) I had been swimming (weather is beautiful in Indy!) and still had my swimsuit on.  I didn't even think about the fact that my CORAL colored cover up was showing.  I am usually more careful to not have on something that is seen (or at least a competing color!) - but you know, the incentive to get done and get BACK in spa!
2) Watch how I ink the stamps.  It can always be an issue - but especially on the DARK and JUICY brand new pads.  No need to smash your stamp down.  A VERY light press will ink it just fine and will eliminate catching the corners and needing to wipe it off before stamping.  You can press just enough to ink the raised parts of the stamp.  On the large sentiment, I took the ink to the stamp so I could better control where the color was going.
3) For those of us who were around in the 80's - when you put these colors together - it looks like the bedspreads we all owned, lol.
