where did Februay go?

here is the card I modified from yesterday's sample. See the flowers, that would be a hint. Tired of snow, not so sad to see Februay go.

March Stamp a Stack

Here are the 5 designs for next week's Stamp a Stack. We do 20 cards - but each card (and matching envelope!) is made 4 times. Greetings can be mixed (and on the cupcake card, the image can even be changed!) - giving participants a fun and varied assortment of cards they can use.

Big Shot Class tomorrow!

Can I just say...........

I LOVE my Big Shot. To be honest, when I got it, it seemed like just one more thing...... but it has quickly moved it's way up to one of my favorite things!!

There is still room in tomorrow night's class if you want to join us. $15 for 4 very happy projects!

Punch Racks - round two!

I am taking orders again for the punch racks - you can see mine in -totally loaded with punches in my craft room/office. Here is the deal:

*pick-up preferred, shipping was very expensive and hard to find. last time I used DHL, but have heard they went out of business. UPS was about $30 to ship due to the size.

*orders taken thru March 5th - no exceptions!

*pre-payment of $35 is needed. checks, paypal or any credit/debit card accepted

*racks will be unfinished wood, they can be left that way, or you can paint/stain them to match your own area ***racks have been redesigned (mine was a quick job!) and have three rows to hold the largest sized punches.

Scrappin' 2009!

I have all but the journaling finished on my 2008 scrapbook - woo hoo!! Which means I get a nice head start on 2009.

Last year I did in black and white pictures, so this will be a color year and I will be doing a 8 1/2 x 8 1/2" format. I put pictures up of the cover in January - if you missed it - you can go back and have a look.

Here you can see my first page - the second is one just one to show off dance pictures that were in color.On the black and white picture I used my blender pen and pacific point and tangerine inks to add some highlights.

Here is my favorite card from the Trendy Trees class. Love the new sticky cuts and glitter - and anytime you add all the texture of chipboard, felt and shimmer - the card just is so pretty!

I have a VERY limited number of To Go packets for this class. I am only going to take orders thru Monday - and they may not even last that long.

What comes with the class?

*Trendy Trees stamp set

*Cardstock, papers, and accessories (brads, eyelets, sticky cuts, chipboard, , acrylic (I will run it thru the Big Shot for you, etc)

*Emailed pictures and instructions of all projects.

What you will need to finish the 4 cards:

*inks, punches, adhesive, glitter

I will let you know what colors I used, but many can be substituted

Cost of the Class is $25 + another $5 if you will need the materials mailed to you. I do have an order going in on Monday and can add the stamp sets to it. The class supplies are ready to go...until gone!

Trendy Trees Class!

Tomorrow morning is Trendy Trees "With One Stamp Set" class. Unfortunately, this is a slooooooow shipping time at Stampin' Up! and the stamp sets are due to arrive tomorrow as well. Maybe Mr UPS will suprise me and your sets will show up during the class {though, he is usually here after dinner.....}

anyway - love this set! Here is one of the 4 projects that we will be making. If you couldn't make the class and fall in love with the samples - be watching the next couple of days - as the class will be offered to GO!

off track...

First, Karisa had a horrible fever and was sick from Friday night til yesterday - had a slight fever this morning, but went to school anyway.

Second, it has been heart-wrenching watching/reading the coverage on the bushfires in Victoria. Many of you know that I lived there for several years - Serg was born and grew up there - and Karisa born there too. Dear friends of ours live very near one of the most devasted areas and we have other friends all around. Seeing the loss of homes, beautiful countryside, quaint towns and even worse, of lives, has been sad.

That said, I have neglected posting here - but am trying to get caught up. Started an email newsletter, maybe it will make it out today - maybe not.

These were taken by our friend Sam - in his yard. He was the best man in our wedding. Say a prayer that fires stay away from Whittlesea. These were taken Saturday - the temp was 120.

And a little happier - a baby card - that could easily be adapted to a valentine!

Two things to share!

First, a bookmark that we did as a Make-n-Take for our Training Day last month.

And another card I loved that I got for a swap. I love to play cards. Love it. Once upon a time my boyfriend did to. Then I married him. My husband apparently doesn't like to play cards:^) Go figure!

Camp is tomorrow - I have the projects done....but haven't cut the paper

yet.... Hate that for me, but it is good news for you {if you have decided you are now able to come, let me know - paper cutting commences late this afternoon !}

I wanted to use the new Fifth Avenue Floral set for camp - and debated because I have new ribbon, the texture plates and new glitter..... since I just had one project left - I couldn't use it all. I made the glitter strip card first - loved it, but decided I could use it at an upcoming Stamp a Stack.

I then used the new set, the new Texturz plate and the new ribbon (which is fabby! ribbon we can 'shrink' again!)
