Enjoy the samples
Isn't that the sweetest thing?? After a long week of work and getting home later than normal on Friday this was waiting for me in my mailbox. I love my stampin' friends......
Tonight is November Big Shot class - here is one of the projects that we will be making. I will try to get the remaining samples (as well as Nov camp and Stamp a Stack!) up over the next few days.
Over the weekend I worked on watching all the training videos and taking all the quizes for becoming certified on My Digital Studio. I passed all the quizzes (took lots of notes!), but I learn best by doing. We were required to submit one finished project as the final step. I wanted to do a page as well, so I could retain some of what I learned. Here they are - I am certain that I will look back on these like we do our first stamping projects and wonder "What the heck was I trying to achieve?" Not too sold on either of them, but sure had fun playing with the software!
These are the samples from Punch Class in Sept - when prepping for it, I found I had waaaaaaaaaaaay too many ideas for it, so we have been doing punch cards in most every class since (like the pumpkin one shown yesterday). This week watch for the Sept Camp punch crow card we did - and the one we will be doing at camp next Saturday. Punch out a bunch of scrap paper and start seeing the possibilities!
Here is a card that is super duper easy to make - so if you want to make a few for this weekend - you will have time to get it done. It is actually from last night's Extra*Ordinary cards class - the other two cards done were more time consuming, so I included a nice fast one!
My husband has had a request to make another round of punch racks. They are $40 each. If you would like one email me and I can give you further details.

A reminder that Big Shot is tonight - projects look great - and as we often do, the Big Shot is doing most of the work for us, so they are simple!
Here is one of the 5 projects. We are using 2 new Big Shot products - love both of them - as well as a new stamp set.
Another project using the new XL treat box from Big Shot class earlier this month. It uses the Flamingo paper, which I lOVE!
This beauty is from Tami - have you noticed the new IC "Crushed Curry" is the color of my kitchen??? Everytime I read/type the name of this color - it sends me to a craving for curry......hm, maybe we shall have that for dinner tonight! We have fresh cucumbers in the garden - and my curries are best when they have a side of cucumber raita!
Tomorrow is July's Extra*Ordinary card class - and you can see here the three projects we are making. EOC cards always take a bit more time and may use more embellishments than we might at a regular card class. Want to see the step up from ordinary on tomorrow's projects?
This card uses lots of texture - from the glossy panel, roughed edges and the big shot texturz plate. Glossy cardstock gives you extra time to 'work' with it - so this has layers and layers of images on the one image. There is sponging, markers and embosing! As with most 'extra*ordinary' cards - it looks much prettier in person - I was going for a look that you good give a guy, what do you think?
