Today's card is a fun one - pieced together from several new things - from several different suites. I designed it as the extra wow card for workshops this quarter. It has a little bit of everything to show off once we have covered the basics in a workshop.
The thinlits are a FREE Sale-A-Bration selection this year!! Love them! They add so much to your card. The words are commonly used in our sayings, so it gave me the idea to simply replace the small words with the LARGE die cut glittery word - I think it worked well! The sequin folder is new too - and such fun!!
The stamp set is one you should make sure you take a close look at. (you can click the shopping list at the bottom of the page to go see the entire set). So many options for it. The sayings are such fun. The candles and the two step bow. I know it has Birthday in the title, but this card could be for celebrations for lots of occasions - the stamps in the set could be used that way too!
In the video you see I stamped the saying a few times - it's because I am making the card for a swap - and I figured I might as well emboss the all! Because I was going to be cutting the images apart I wasn't overly concerned about any spare white random dots around that I might have been if I have been keeping the entire black piece.
The glimmer paper and the washi tape are part of the Myths and Magic suite. Lots of sparkle - but not so much that the card couldn't be given to a guy. If you are a fan of washi tape - but not of seeing it curl up a day or two later on your card - make sure to catch my tip in the video to keep it always in place! There is also a tip on mastering the Big Shot and the glimmer paper!
