Here is the first of the 'swaps' - AND - I have a video to go with it! My daughter is also a demonstrator and she participated that day.
So I asked her if I could use a couple of her extra pieces to show you what a shoebox swap is like. You can see as you watch the video that Ris already had all of the pieces that needed to be run through the Big Shot. Some of them where stamped as well, but she left the bulk of the stamping for the participants to do themselves.
Not having to do ALL of the work on the card helps you get done more quickly - but - especially with a set like this - you get to try out a stamp that you might not have. This line of stamp sets (There is a house in the Annual Catalog and there was a Tree in the Holiday) might look like they are a lot of work. But as you see in the video, they are really easy to do. Just start with the stamp that has the most images and work your way to the one that has the least. After making this card - I think I would always cut the hat our first - it makes lining up the images even easier! So cute!
This set comes with some really cute sayings as well. You might think a party hat might not be all that useful. Searching Pinterest though...you will start to see pizza, french fries, watermelon slices.....see them?!!

This fun card by Diana....when I went to take the picture I realized I didn't stamp the you. In her original card the you is stamped in black - but remember the day we did the shoebox swap was one of my first days out after the flu. Apparently I just left it off all together. My dies were lying on the table along with the paper, so I added it that way, but I think the black ink looks better as the artist originally intended. whoops.......
Love the bird set. Sandy did a fun job - so simple and quick to do. It combines the free SAB paper and a quick color with the blends. Bright and cheery!
Missy did such a nice job on this elegant card. The shimmer and shine doesn't really show up in the photos. A little bit of glitter paper, some shine in ribbon and the metallic in the paper. It is so very pretty!
